Press Release – Enriching Conversations – Youth Financial Wellness Forum – November 27 2018

Financial Wellness Forum for Gauteng Youth

The African Financial Inclusion Network is hosting the first ever Enriching Conversations – Youth Financial Wellness Forum that will mark the beginning of a 12-month financial education program for youth who are starting their careers through in internships, learnerships, training and other youth development programs in Gauteng.

Johannesburg, 27 November 2018

The Africa Financial Inclusion Network (AFIN) in partnership with the Banking Association of South Africa is hosting Enriching Conversations – Youth Financial Wellness Forum on Saturday 8 December 2018. The Forum provides a platform for youth in Gauteng who are starting their career in learnerships, internships and other youth development programs to start building knowledge for their future financial lives. It is the beginning of a year-long program designed by AFIN to provide access to consumer financial education, inclusive financial products and ongoing evaluation of the effectiveness of the program to encourage positive financial behaviour in young people. Through this initiative, AFIN provides an opportunity for the youth to share their financial needs and challenges and for financial institutions to create inclusive products that serve them better.

The Forum will be hosted at Joburg Auto City, 93 Carr Street, Newtown, Johannesburg from 9am to 5pm on Saturday 8 December 2018.

We invite interested organisations to apply to be part of the year long program that starts with the Forum. The cost to attend the Forum is R250 per person or up to R5,000 per organisation. For more information about Enriching Conversations visit our website www.afi-network.org/conference.

Content partners delivering financial education on the day include: the Banking Association of South Africa, Biz-Fit, FNB, Grounded Media, SABRIC, Sugar Creek Wealth, UJ Debating Union, and Wits Debating Unions.
